Alicia Snyder-Carlson, Associate Principal at Green Building Services, manages corporate portfolios, project certifications, and the preparation of client deliverables, including technical analysis assistance and research for various sustainability certification processes. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology, Minor in Interior Architecture from the University of Oregon and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design from Savannah College of Art and Design. Alicia focuses on volunteer work that supports green building and interior design policy and legislation. She is the ASID Oregon Past President, Past ASID National Legislative Advisory Council Chair, and has participated on the IDC-Oregon board in various roles since 2009.

Bethanne Mikkelsen is an Interior Designer at Ankrom Moisan Architects, Inc. in Portland, Oregon. She holds an NCIDQ Certification and is a LEED Accredited Professional. She has over eight years of experience practicing commercial interior design specializing in corporate tenant improvement, multi-family housing and healthcare. Bethanne received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Marylhurst University and has a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise & Sports Science from Cedarville University. She is passionate about designing interior spaces that make a difference in people’s lives.

Erik Garcia has a Bachelor of Business Administration-Finance from Georgia State University. His background was in finance where he worked at Vanguard Investments for 6 years before realizing his passion was design. He moved to Portland from Scottsdale, Arizona 3 years ago and currently is finishing his Bachelor of Fine Arts, Interior Design at The Art Institute of Portland. Erik looks forward to making a difference in both Portland and Scottsdale's design communities.

Alexis Melnicki is an Interior Designer at Garrison Hullinger Interior Design in Portland, Oregon. She earned her Masters in Interior Architecture from Cal Poly Pomona and an Interior Design certificate From UCLA. Her background in graphic design, provided by her undergraduate degree in Film and Digital Media from UC Santa Cruz, led to a passion in translating two-dimensional ideas to three-dimensional spaces. Her focus is in commercial and hospitality design as she finds inspiration in creating exciting and environmentally conscious experiences in shared spaces. Alexis also serves as President-Elect for ASID Oregon.

Grace is an in-house graphic designer at IKEA Portland and works as a freelance graphic designer in Portland, OR. She received an Associate of Science degree in Graphic Design from Portland Community College and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from UC Santa Cruz and a Master of Arts degree in Ethnomusicology from UCLA. She loves collaborating with clients to create meaningful, unique designs and she enjoys working with nonprofit organizations in whose causes she believes.

Ellen has been working as a designer in Portland, OR since 1999. Her focus is on affordable, sustainable and quality interior design for residential and commercial interiors. She is a member of ASID, IIDA and NCIDQ certified. In addition to creating custom interiors, Ellen is an instructor at Portland Community College and The Art Institute of Portland.

Shawna Sorensen is an Interior Designer at Ankrom Moisan Architects, Inc. in Portland, Oregon. She hold a 3 year diploma in Interior Design from Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. Her work is primarily in the restaurant and hospitality sectors and custom millwork and casework design. She loves getting into the details to find creative solutions for her clients.

Linda is a fourth generation California native who graduated in 1974 from California State University at Long Beach with a BA in Fine Arts and Interior Design. She is a NCIDQ certificate holder and a professional IIDA member. Professionally, Linda has over 30 years of experience practicing commercial Interior Design with expertise in the industrial, higher educational, senior housing & market segments. She has very strong management, design and technical skills and currently works within her own firm, DGI.

Rebecca Brock

Rebecca graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science in both Interior Design and Housing Studies. After graduating, Rebecca worked as a Sales Coordinator for Environments and gained an appreciation for the furniture industry. Later on this lead her to working as an Interior Designer with Green Curve Studio. Rebecca’s work involves problem solving for Orthodontic, Dentistry, & Pediatric Dentistry spaces. Rebecca believes we can design a space that is both environmentally safe and desirable.

Amy Running, senior interior designer with BORA Architects has more than 15 years of experience designing interiors for educational environments, institutional facilities and innovative workplaces. She is an active participant in the industry’s advancement of indoor air quality issues, and is a founding participant in the Health Product Declaration. Amy holds a Bachelor of Interior Architecture from the University of Oregon and is an NCIDQ accredited Interior Designer as well as a LEED Accredited Professional.
