Advocacy 101 Training: Raise the Bar of Interior Design

Our Advocacy 101 Training: Raise the Bar of Interior Design held last January was so popular that we’re holding another session. The follow up training “Advocacy 202 Training: Let’s talk about our bill!” will take place in late June.

As we lay the groundwork for the 2017 bill session, it’s important that our supporters speak clearly about the proposed legislation and interior design. We hope these trainings prepare you to help us get this bill passed, join us! #raisethebarIDC

Advocacy 101 Training:

Raise the Bar of Interior Design

When you tell people you’re an Interior Designer, are you confronted with:
•   Being asked to help with bathrooms? Paint color? Pillows?
•   Explaining to your friends and family what you do on a regular basis?

When you think about your future in the Interior Design Profession, do you think:
•   You’ll start your own business?
•   Move to another state?
•   Join another firm?
•   Move up in the firm you’re currently at?

Please join IDC-Oregon for a short presentation on Interior Design Legislation in Oregon and how state recognition might further your ability to practice in the future.  We’ll also talk about your “elevator speech” and how to make a statement about what you do as an Interior Designer.
